A brand spanking new games console by MS is due to be announced very soon and it is expected by many to be unveiled as the all new – XBOX 720. The truth is the XBOX 360 has been developed to the MAX, and the Kinect is an after-thought – so to be ahead of the game MS have to release something very, very special indeed.
Rumors are circulating in newspapers, magazines, on telly and the internet that the new XBOX 720 will be an absolute beast of a machine, encompassing sci-fi technologies, warranting the grand title of XBOX 720. The more practical rumors circulating suggest a more modest approach, code-named “LOOP”. These rumors suggest development of the Kinect gaming concept with an attempt at slam dunking wireless gaming smack bang into the next level of the games arena attempting to take the Wii out of competitive rivals Nintendo and Sony. The console is expected to be no more powerful, in terms of graphics, than the 360 – but instead is likely to be a much slicker and more compact device.
